I have a question for you guys:
Mar. 16th, 2004 03:44 pmOk. Have I mentioned here how much I am interested in possibly being a bush pilot? Well, I've been considering it for the last few months, and I used to want to be a pilot when I was little.
Well, I found this posted on portland.craigslist.org:

Hello, My name is Jim and I recently became a single father. My sons name is Yeager and he was born on January 10,2004. Currently Yeager and I are living alone and would like to find someone to live with us and take care of Yeager while I am at work. You would have your own bedroom and full bath. I will take care of all your living expenses and give you $500 per month salary. You will be only expected to care for Yeager while I am at work. Other times you are free to pursue your own interests. I will be needing you from May 15th until October 15th. I will cover your travel costs to and from Anchorage, Alaska. I work as a seasonal commercial pilot. Work hours are from 6:00am until 3:30pm most days. I pretty much work every day of the week but should have about 20 days off during this period. After work and on days off I would be able to take you flying in my plane and show you some of the beauty of Alaska. It would be a plus if you were not afraid of flying in small planes and willing to go camping on occasion. You should be a neat organized person as I like to keep a clean home. You should not be a tobacco or drug user. It would be a plus if you have a drivers license.

Ok, this is ideal for me. I wouldn't be earning all that much money, but I could get a part time job without much trouble. But how legit does this sound to you? Do you think it's some lonely guy looking for a housewife, or what? Because this would *really* be the perfect opportunity to not only gain some childcare experience for au pairing next Jan., but also I could learn about life as a bush pilot and I'd have a contact in the field. Plus, Alaska.
Quick, tell me what you think.
