Ok. This is very simple.

YOUR is a possessive pronoun. You use it as a sign of ownership, as in, "Your beef is getting cold," or "she took your love, she took it down."

YOU'RE is short for "you are", as in, "You're a poser, Avril Lavigne," or "You're Harry Potter's used kleenex."

ITS is a possessive pronoun, as in, "The tree grew, its leaves stretching skyward," or "We're its only hope."

IT'S is short for "It is," as in "I know, it's only rock and roll, but I like it," or "It's always the quiet ones."

I understand that it's cool to be lazy with one's grammar, but sheesh, this is simple stuff. Argh.
