atotalblamblamOh my god! I am so excited. I am so excited. I really, really, oh dear jesus h. christ doing a rendition of Riverdance really want this to happen. Really a lot.
It's through AmeriCorps. It's called the Backcountry Trails Program, and it's in California. Here's what the website says:
Each spring, the Backcountry Trails Program assembles six crews of men and women, from widely diverse backgrounds, who leave behind the conveniences and luxuries of modern life and venture into the mountains to spend five exhausting months doing some of the most challenging and ultimately rewarding work of their lives. The 17 members who comprise each of these crews learn through experience the skills of trail maintenance, construction, and the process of building healthy productive communities.
Man, that's just the tip of it there--this is an extreme, grueling, adventurous experience, and we wants it, preciousss. If I am eligible, I need to get on the ball like now. Applications are due March 3rd. It lasts from April 14th - September 18th.
