It sucks to be unimportant. It sucks to be no one, not cared about, unknown. It sucks that I'm making it this way. It sucks that it's not all my fault, but they think it is. It sucks that no one wants me. That no one wants me here, wants me around, needs my company. I am disposeable. I am lonely. I am alone.

I'm sorry that people are being mean to you though. If it makes you feel better, the snobbiest people in the world are Alaskans, and it's absolutely nothing personal. In fact you should be glad that you're not like them. homer is a pretty dull town if you're not local and don't know anyone there.
but if you have a spare weekend and can get into town, we can put you up in our spare room, and my friends and I can show you Anchorage.

I love Alaskans! I have received so much kindness and generousity from Alaskans this summer it isn't even funny.

And if I don't catch up with you in Homer, maybe I'll see you in Anchorage on my way to the airport in late August?
